Hello, welcome to Clean Pantry Co. I created this website to serve as a resource for clean eating. I've always been a bit of a health nut but as I enter middle age, I started to realize that our bodies just can't tolerate junk the way we used to. My friends have started complaining about headaches and stomach problems which have caused them to eliminate certain foods. Many others have told me that while they can eat all the bread they want in Europe without problems, bread in the US is a different story. I believe part of the reason for our health problems is that the FDA allows food manufacturers to use additives that many other countries ban. Avoiding these problematic additives means eliminating processed foods.
Processed foods have become a staple in our SAD diets and eliminating them also eliminates the convenience that has made them so appealing. Making food from scratch seems time consuming and complicated to busy professionals who aren't accustomed to food prepping. That's where we come in. Our goal is to inspire you to achieve a clean eating lifestyle by curating simple recipes for pantry/fridge staples as well as a selection of kitchen tools and supplies that make prepping your food easier and storing them a breeze.
Step 1: Clean Your Pantry
I recommend taking this journey one step at a time. Start by cleaning out your pantry. Get rid of food with expired dates, old spices and food that you haven't eaten in a year (just like your closet!). Organize the remaining food by category. You'll start to see what you have and what you need to buy. You'll feel better after you start with a clean slate and may even get some ideas about what to make for dinner. Anyone else have a strangely large stash of black beans? Anyway, take this first step today and celebrate. When you're ready for more - follow us on instagram and sign up for our newsletter. We'll keep you on track!
